CONVERSE



February 1908
Marquis Mills Converse opened the first converse rubber shoe company in Malden Massachusetts.
By 1910 the company was making 4,000 shoes a day.
In 1915 the company started manufacturing shoes for tennis.
1917, the converse introduced the All-Star basketball shoe.
1921 Charles "Chuck" Taylor walked into a converse store and complained that he had sore feet. Converse then gave him a job as a salesman and an ambassador
1923 Taylor's signature All-Star stamp was officially added to the shoes.
